All booked

A normal post for once.....

I took the plunge today and booked my flights to Canada. I’ll be flying into Toronto on the 8th July, making my way across to Vancouver over twenty two days via the Stampede and lots of other random places, by random forms of transport, and leaving on the 30th of July.

Although the flights have been booked, I’ve got loads more things to sort out……..

1) Book flights (done)
2) Learn how to ride a horse, apply to the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association before I go
3) Spend some time sitting in my passenger seat to acclimatize to driving on the right
4) Learn not to get embarrassed when I hear the term ‘Sweat Pants’
5) Learn not to be scared when I see people in hockey gear, it does not necessarily mean they are going to rob a bank or start a fight with me
6) Get some ‘Roots’ clothing, whatever that maybe
7) Stop drinking Stella, get onto Labatt,
8) Stop writing ….”ise” at the end of words, will have to realise, I mean realize that.

....Of course the list is longer, I prioritized it and cut it down.

ummm, hello?! you need to sort out the stopover in london for one thing. or i can try and come home to toronto and play tourguide. and also... it's july and 32 degrees celcius plus humidity and smog so you won't need any sweatpants for chrissake; roots clothing is all red and white so i hope you're into that; and for godsake LABATT IS GARBAGE. (not that i drink a lot of beer.) so if you can, drink east coast beer. if you have to drink shitty canadian domestic then drink molson cuz their commercials are better. if you really are going to be a labatt snob, then drink labatt 50... otherwise known as "grandpa beer". trust me. this will help you pick up chicks for sure norm.

and don't forget about poutine and timbits. if you do not know what either of these are... please learn them as soon as possible.

p.s. everything i say about canada comes with an implicit disclaimer...

see you in 2.5 months biatch.

It worked! I typed in "Canadian Words" in Google and ended up on this American site, which apparently 'prepares' you for when you go to Canada. I knew some of the stuff was bollox, like Labbats, we have it over here but nobody drinks it, though I used to drink and like Molson.

I was wondering about the 'Sweat Pants', apparently they are like our 'jogging bottoms' you use to go to the gym or running.

Poutine - American Gravy Cheese Fries???? Ummmm

Timbits are bite-sized doughnut A doughnuts - Now I'm interested, yum yum.

As for the London thing, I will def check it out, I might fly from London to Winnepeg and apposed to Toronto to Winnepeg if I can (as long as it's cheap and easy to get to London from Toronto)
